November's DFAlink MeetUp will include a conference call with Gov Dean. This will be a chance to hear from the Dem Party Chair and possibly have a chance to speak with him.
In other agenda items, we will also have media outreach for campaigns. We hope to have candidates to talk with and to air the bylaws for Democracy for Missouri in preparation for a vote on the bylaws in Demcember.
All in all an important meeting laying the groundwork for the 06 campaign.
We have got to elect fiscally conservative socially progressive people to office.
It is time to take our Country Back from those who watched citizens die of thirst in New Orleans, and are now planning to expand the misguided war in Iraq to other Mideast nations, all on a massive credit card of National Debt.

Start: 8:00 pm
End: 9:00 pm

This from Jim Hubbard...come to the DFAlink meeting and top it off with Drinkinking Liberally...a great combination!

It's that time again … Time to discuss politics over drinks. Drinking
Liberally will be meeting for a second time this Wednesday, November 2
for our Election 2006 pre-party. Since our last outing Tom Delay has
turned himself in to the authorities, Harriet Miers has withdrew her
nomination and Scooter Libby has been charged with lying and
obstruction of justice.

We will again be meeting at Addison's an American Grill; 709 Cherry
St. Be sure to bring friends. The more, the more liberal.

The Columbia Peace Coalition is having a peace gathering this Friday, Nov. 11 outside the military recruiters' offices at E. Broadway and Second St. for a "Time for an Armistice" Peace Gathering. We will assemble at 10:50 a.m. for a short event that will begin promptly at 11 a.m.

The purpose of this gathering is two-fold: first, to reclaim what is now called Veterans Day, by going to its roots as Armistice Day, a holiday to celebrate the end of the "war to end all wars," and second, in the spirit of Armistice Day, to call for an end to the current Iraq War, while announcing the completion of our End the Iraq War petition drive, with nearly 8,000 area residents signing in support of bringing our troops home NOW.

Start: 6:00 pm
End: 7:00 pm
