Democracy Fest promises to be great this year. I attended last summer's event in Austin and if this is half as well organized and fun, it will be worth the trip to California. The Demfest website linked here is in its early stages, and speakers, etc are not firmed up yet but tickets are on sale now.

Root Camp...associated with Grassroots for America, played a major role in the recent Demfest. They are doing some great organizing and trainings and have incredible resources for folks wanting to do the same.. Become a "mentor"...you will be glad you did.

Democracy Fest (June 17, 18, 19 in Austin Texas) will be 3 days of training workshops, good food and camraderie. Guest speakers include Democratic Party Chair and Gov Howard Dean, Molly Ivans and Jim Hightower. It is cheap to register. Why don't we have an all Missouri DFA Caucus Meeting...in Texas!

Check out this site for folks who are organizing on a National level to Take Back America. They are holding a conference in Washington DC in January to start the ball rolling. Dean and Kucinich folks, the heart of the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party, united! Take heart ya'll.
